About Department of Islamic Studies

The Department of Islamic Studies was established in 1965. It was a part of the Higher Teachers College, then it was merged with the (Department of Arabic Language) under the name of (Department of Arabic Language and Islamic Studies). In (2008) became independent from (Department of Arabic Language). The department teaches Islamic sciences and related sciences, such as grammar, morphology and rhetoric.
